Call forwarding

We have the option of having our work phone transfer calls to another number. When I’m not in the office, the computer is supposed to ring my cell. I checked, and it’s indeed “working.” The forwarding number is correct. All systems are “go.”

Except that messages still are stored on my voicemail rather than being transferred. The phone holds on to the caller’s message, even though the sending and receiving has been set up.

I had gone back in to my voicemail options to find a fix this morning… when it struck me. God’s put all systems on “go” for us to share his good news. He’s demonstrated his love to us. Lavished blessings of family, church, friends, and work on our heads. Left us a book about himself in case other transmissions got garbled.

And still, we forget to transfer the info. We store it internally, hanging on to what should be passed along. I’m glad God comes back again and again to fix our systems, patiently reminding us that the Sender is wonderful, the Message is worthy, and the Messenger is in process.

*Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise. Psalm 96:1-4 NIV

*An honest answer is like a kiss of friendship. Proverbs 24:26 NEV

*In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was
made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:1-5 NKJV
